Thank You for the Blood!

Exodus 12:13 New International Version (NIV) 13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

The book of exodus chronicles the children of Israel being delivered from 400 years of Egyptian slavery. God broke pharaohs hold on Israel through a series of 10 Plaques. The last being the death angel going through all of Egypt and slaying the 1st born of the land both man and beast.

The amazing thing is that while the 1st born of Egypt died the 1st born of Israel, who had followed the instruction of Moses were delivered. Exodus chapter 12 tells us that the Children of Israel were instructed to take a lamb without defect, kill it, take the blood from the lamb and apply it to the sides and the top of the door post. Exodus 12:13 God says the blood will be a sign for you on the house where you are at, “and when I see the blood, I will pass over you”.

Jesus is our perfect Lamb of God, without spot without defect; he shed his blood for you and me. If you have accepted Jesus as your savior, you are covered with the blood of Jesus. You have been redeemed, set apart, marked by God. No matter what kind of bad stuff is going on around you, you are purchased, protected, and provided for by the precious blood of Jesus.

Now I want you to pay attention, because the enemy does not want you to get this.

The enemy wants to get you, he wants to overpower you, he wants to infiltrate your mind, your prayer life, your ministry. But he can’t, because of the simple fact, you are covered with the blood of Jesus. One of the greatest weapons you have in your spiritual arsenal is the blood of Jesus.

Often people are spiritually paralyzed by negative things going on around them. They see the enemy at work and they become fearful. Because the are not knowledgeable of the Word of God and they don’t know how the Power of the blood of Jesus works. Lets fix that!

Let me be clear, there are some bad things out there, some of them perpetuated by the enemy, some of them brought on us by ourselves. But we can stand strong in victory if we understand there is Power in the Blood of Jesus.

Let me share just 5 things the blood of Jesus does for us. (There are many, many more) I want you to remind yourself of these 5 things daily.

1. We are forgiven of sin In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace Ephesians 1:7

2. We have been justified (just as though we had never sinned) “being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed…” (Romans 3:24-25)

3. We have the power to overcome the enemy “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:11)

4. We have gained the unmerited favor of God “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)

5. We are healed Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sin, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” (I Peter 2:24)

I speak and confess the blood of Jesus into the life of your life, your family, your health, your finances, your ministry, your job.

Say this with me “I am Forgiven, I am Justified, I have Power over the enemy I have favor, and I am healed and by the Blood of Jesus.
