Healed and Delivered

John 5:8 Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. I think it is interesting that John points out that when Jesus went to the pool of Bethesda during a Jewish feast season. The focus of most people would probably be on going to the temple to keep the feast. I find it interesting because of the kind of people who were at the pool. Blind, disabled, paralyzed, people who were suffering. Jesus goes there and heals a man who had been suffering a long time. It does not appear that the man did anything to warrant Jesus healing him, John says there was a multitude of people there who needed to be healed, but Jesus showed mercy and favor and bestowed grace and healing on this one man.

I believe Jesus still has the power and ability to heal and deliver. Why is that an important statement? Because so many people have areas in there lives where they are still spiritually blinded, and paralyzed by the enemy. It could be in there health, there finances there marriage, a relationship, there ministry. That person wants to move forward but they just seem stuck. I have some great news today. Just like Jesus picked one person to be healed and delivered that day. This is your day for healing. This is your day for victory; this is your day for the chains of paralysis to fall off by the Word of our Lord. When we embrace the Word of God In faith, the same mercy, healing and favor that was upon this man can be upon us . However, Jesus asks a question that we need to deal with for our healing and deliverance to take place. In Verse 5, tells us Jesus knew the man had been in this condition for a long time. Jesus asks the man “Do you want to be made well”. That is the question I want us to contemplate today. “Do you want it”? Jesus knew that often times when people have suffered in a situation for a long time can’t see themselves doing anything differently. For this to be your day, you have to embrace the miracle of change in your mind. You have to want it! Being made well means life will be different. The enemy mentally cripples us, by making us think that because things have been a certain way for so long, they can’t change. I am here to tell you, in the name of King Jesus; Satan is a liar from the pits of hell. You don’t have to stay in that condition any more. You can be set free by the blood of the Christ. John 8:36, He who the son sets free is free indeed.

Do you want it? Do you want this miracle; do you want your life to change? Make up your mind, I want it. Whatever changes comes as a result of me being healed, I want it. Embrace that healing in your mind, want it. See yourself walking in victory, want it. See yourself being healed, want it. See those shackles falling off your finances, want it.. See that blood pressure and blood sugar being regulated, by the power of the Word. See your marriage being healed; see your ministry being fruitful. Say it with me “I want it” I see it, I receive it by faith”.

Jesus told the man, rise up, take up your bed and walk. Immediately, he got up and walked. The lord is picking you today, to receive your miracle! Rise up, pick up your miracle and walk it out by faith. Say it with me “I want it, I see it, I receive it”
